Obstacle in Communication

Hey there! Hope you all are doing good and are in best of your mental health. Welcome to this article, where I would share a personal experience on the biggest obstacle I faced in Oral communication and how I overcame it.

The factor I am going to focus on is The Fear of Judgement. Before we dive in, I would urge you to go down the memory lane to those pleasant days and comfy nights; the days of our childhood. Remember ? The time when a relative or neighbor arrived and our parents would say “Beta come show us your dance..” or “Sing the rhymes you learnt at school.” We were so excited and performed with all our heart. Now tell me what happened to this innocent charming spirit, as we grew up? Why did the smile fade away? Is being matured means such stage of complexity that it makes us lifeless?

Believe me or not, the fear of being judged is a factor that affects us before, during and after the delivery of communication. We are so concerned about the second persons’ perspective that we fail to express ourselves. Have you ever felt, it feels joy when a friend applauds; even more if the person is a stranger. But it feels the same pain if anyone remarks negatively. Our intellect sometimes feels guilty or ashamed as if it had done a big crime.

But dear friend! This fear of judgement is temporary. It has to go, as you gain experience. We need to understand, everything has its place in this Earth, and we should not stop trying to find the best for us. Your story is beyond any comparison. It is different and as unique as you are.

When I look back, I find people criticizing me; making fun of words I said. Then, I realize; its not their fault, its just that they did not find it relatable. This won’t stop me from expressing myself neither should it stop you.

NEVER AGAIN EVER!

Will this moment Return.

Things won’t be the same they are.

So don’t just stand looking at;

The Closed and Open Doors.

The light that comes,

The breath that goes.

The Perfect time is now!

N the Stage is yours!
